We are looking for a motivated Business Development Lead (Social Impact) who will help us build commercial and strategic partnerships with leading organizations in the social impact space, including: foundations, and private sector (CSR, Sustainability and Marketing branches), governments, United Nations and large third sector institutions. Over the past years, as Goodwall we have experienced great success in growing our business and creating new partnerships driven by social impact and serving our mission as a social enterprise. Now we are ready to take our work to the next level and we are looking for an experienced Business Developer able to leverage our current strategic positioning to bring value to the company and help us maximize our impact on the lives of young people while contributing to achieve our company goals. You will be part of the Social Impact team within the Business Development department and report to the Chief Impact Officer.

What you’ll be doing, but not limited to:

  • Work with the team to leverage our network and existing and new relationships to identify and develop partnership opportunities through partner outreach and relationship management, with the end goal of securing contracts and growing existing partnerships.

  • Act as primary point of contact for selected social impact initiatives, coordinating strategic partner engagements and internally liaising with internal teams to ensure successful execution.

  • Adaptat product offering and pitching material depending on opportunities and strategic partnerships

  • Develop partnerships through program co-design, proposal development and contract negotiation

  • Track multiple partners and opportunities and maintain relationships with key partners, representing the organization in relevant meetings and exchanges

  • Contribute to the achievement of our KPIs and company targets

  • Contribute to shape our social impact and business development strategies

Job requirements

Your profile

  • 7+ years of professional work experience in a similar role or function (business development, sales, partnerships, consulting, fundraising) in the social impact sector.

  • Track record of results in fundraising (either through contracts and/or grants) and creating large scale partnerships with global organizations from private and/or public sectors.

  • Solid experience in managing directly and indirectly all the stages of business development and partnership creation from initial outreach to contract signature including development and negotiation of joint initiatives.

  • Experience with a variety of funding opportunities and development of business with a range of different partners

  • Results-focused and self-motivated, with a flexible and entrepreneurial mind-set.

  • Comfortable in highly dynamic, rapidly scaling environments.

  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.

  • Solid Google Suite, MS Excel and Powerpoint skills.

  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills in English (French a plus).

  • Hands-on and proactive with excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders, taking the lead and pushing work forward.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and can manage deadlines while building for the future.

  • You can build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders across all levels of seniority.
